This 2 1/2" square trinket box is 5/8" tall and has a hinged lid with guilloche enamel. The lid features blue and yellow pansies with green leaves and stems on a field of dark red. The sides of the box have patterning which originally had red paint in its depressed designs. However, much of the red has been worn off. The hinged box opens with a press button on the front. The inside is unlined. The box has no maker's marks or company name. It is in good condition with no damage to the hinge or closure, no cracks or chips in the enamel, no breaks or repairs in the box. In addition to the loss of red paint on the sides, the top has light overall scratches from use. However, it still looks very pretty.
