Candy bar box "BAKER;S CHOCOLATE" Dorchester, Mass GUARANTEED JUNE 30, 1906"

Description

An old empty cardboard container for a bar of Baker's chocolate. It contained "ONE QUARTER POUND NET". Looks about the size of a candy bar at 5-5/8 by 2-3/8 inches and 5/8 inch thick. I put popcorn inside to keep its shape. It says Guaranteed by Walter Baker Co, under the Food and Drugs Act of June 30, 1906, so that dates it to soon after that date. Instructions are given for making a hot drink out of the chocolate.
