Very Good – nicely embossed cover art of cocoa bean plant and text front cover. Also embossed on the back cover is the company logo "La Belle Chocolatière", inspired by Das Schokoladenmädchen (The Chocolate Girl), by Jean-Étienne Liotard.
Also on the back, an embossed gold “Paris Exposition” seal.
Modest surface wear and some soiling front and back. A one-inch horizontal break to the surface finish on the back cover that does not transmit through – see photos. Tightly bound/string attachment in excellent condition. Interior pages in good condition, with very occasional pencil highlighting of individual recipes, and occasional bending of some pages. Excellent in-color “fac-simile” of select product offerings on center pages. Stamped notation of “Gold Medal, Paris, 1900” on page 3 top.
