This is a Montreal map set. It features several maps of different areas in and around Montreal, and ads for local places of interest, dining and lodging. The info in it appears to be aimed at primarily a French-speaking audience. Specifically, not all French text has an English equivalent. Recommended for Montreal/tourism enthusiasts and/or vintage souvenier collectors, especially items from Canada. Please note that not every single component of the original package may still be present in this set.
Present condition:
The item was obtained new back in the day as a gift from a customer. (Since receiving) I am the sole, primary owner and it was not passed around to or handled by other people. Most importantly, while I had unfolded the outer pages to peek inside, the map was never fully opened up to lay flat. I never attempted this simply because, from past experience with similar maps, if I tried I knew that I would never be able to cleanly fold it back again! For a number of years after obtaining, it was filed away in a desk draw. Eventually it wound up in deep closet box storage where it lay quietly until it was recently rediscovered.
The materials may have some mild weathering/fading, scuff marks, dents, scratches, dings, spots, folds, creasing, discoloration and stains here and there. But there are no obvious signs of significant damage such as disintegration, dismemberment, large tears/rips, and scribbling. Overall, I believe the item is in very good condition given its age.
Note: Listing ONLY includes material(s) from 199x and does NOT include any books, magazines, software, hardware, multimedia material (CD/DVD/BR), memberships, tickets, toys, or any material NOT specifically described in writing in listing description and simultaneously shown in accompanying photos!
["FREE Shipping!" T&C start]
Free shipping for any order that can ship in one first class mail envelope (can contain items from multiple listings).
Cost: Free (with restrictions below)
Mailing/shipping method: First class mail ONLY. In any scenaro where a shipping method other than first class mail is required, buyer will be required to pay for shipping.
Packaging: Item(s) will be mailed in a plain envelope ("small" or "large" depending on contents). There will be no wrapping, padding/stuffing or box protection for contents. This will be a minimal affair where contents are simply placed in an envelope and mailed out. If buyer seeks more secure packaging for contents, we can discuss USPS Priority Mail padded envelope/box shipping options that buyer will be required to pay for.
Scenario where multiple listings won by buyer are treated as single order by eBay: In the event buyer seeks to bid on multiple listings there could be a complication where it will not be clear whether or not this "free shipping" offer applies to all listing items or not. This will be further complicated if any listings without the "free shipping" offer are also involved. Ideally buyer and seller will be able to discuss options while auction is active and before any bids are placed. If that discussion does not take place and buyer ends up winning multiple listings (with or without "free shipping" offers), it will still help greatly if buyer does not purchase right away and instead allows discussion of options. Even if things go as far as buyer having already submitting payment, I will still likely initiate contact to work things out according to my terms here. However, in an unlikely but not impossible worst-case-scenario due to personal circumstances at the time, I may decide not to go through with sale in the end and request that the purchase be canceled (with payment, of course, refunded).

[Item pickup T&C start]
The item's location is in Torrance, CA (90501). Payment for this "pickup only" item will be cash at time of item pickup only. This is basically due to the eBay system not being able to verify that the buyer was able to receive the item after payment was made to seller when an electronic payment method is used. After auction closing, seller will initiate contact with buyer via eBay messaging. Seller and buyer will communicate via eBay messaging to schedule a date/time for buyer to come pick up item. The item exchange meeting can take place between 10:00am and 6:00pm on a Saturday or Sunday (no weekdays). Our usual meeting place for this sort of thing is the Torrance civic center parking lot (facing Torrance Blvd). On weekends the lot should be a good place for us to get our business done undisturbed. However, in the event some unforeseen trouble arises, there is always traffic going by on Torrance Blvd, surveillance cameras will likely be operating at the nearby civic center buildings, and the police station is not too far away. Buyer will be responsible for carrying item from seller vehicle to their vehicle.
Ideally, seller and buyer would be able to get the pickup scheduled for the first weekend day after auction closing. However, we understand that sometimes things are not so straightforward. So we will do our best to make available up to the first four weekends after auction closing for scheduling pickup. If, however, we are unable to schedule the meeting on any of those designated days, we will have to conclude that this deal can not be completed. The same conclusion will be reached if buyer does not respond to our initial contact via eBay messaging after 14 calendar days. Once this outcome is reached, our final action will be to put in the transaction cancellation request to eBay.
