Nichia NUBM31 455nm 95W Multiple Blue Laser Diode Chip Array With Pre-configured DriverThis NUBM31 laser array was refurbished by removing it from a high end projector, performing cleaning and testing. The driver is pre-configured to power the array at 3 amps to provide an optical power output of 96 watts. Both of these items were tested and working properly together before shipping.
Returns are exclusively accepted for this delicate component if it's returned in its original, unopened packaging. Given its intricate nature, proficiency is essential for safe handling. If you're unsure of your capabilities or haven't thoroughly reviewed the product description, kindly refrain from purchasing. Customers indicating a lack of qualification or neglect in reading the description will regrettably be barred from future transactions.
The minimum reccomended input voltage of the driver is 24v. If a power source below 24v is used, it will cause driver will not provide enough power. The driver output is meant to be connected to all four rows in series. The output of the driver should be toggled on on after the driver is energized. Attempting to apply power to the driver with the output already connected to a load will cause a voltage spike from the driver.
Applying full power (3A) to this array with reverse polarity will cause permanent damage to at least an ENTIRE ROW of diodes. Excessive heat will also shorten the life of it substantially. If you don't plan on using active cooling, I would highly suggest you attach a plastic 70°c normally closed KSD9700 temperature switch to the side of the block and wire it to cut power to the bank when it gets too hot. Alternatively, a temperature sensing relay can be used for the same purpose.
The driver is a 1200 watt boost converter that has been preset to 3A (~98v) so you don't need to use a test load to set the current or risk damaging overcurrent.
Here are the instructions for the boost module. You don't need to use them unless you want to start over with the driver or make adjustments.
Type: Non-isolated step-up module (BOOST)
Input Voltage: DC24V to 60V
input voltage, maximum current is 35A-40A; 31-60V input voltage, maximum current is 30A-35A
Output Voltage: 24-97V continuously adjustable (cannot be used to step down voltage)
Output Current: 22A (related to the input and output voltage difference, the greater voltage difference is, the smaller output current will be. please enhance heat dissipation when current is over 15A)
Constant Current Range: 0.8-22A(+/-0.3A)
Reverse Input Protection: Yes (150A power MOS reverse protection)
Input Low Voltage Protection: Yes (10V-50V adjustable, self-recovery)
Operating Temperature: -40℃ to 85℃(if temperature is too high, please enhance heat dissipation)
Frequency: 150KHz
