NIR 830nm Laser Diode Module Adjustable Focus Collimator 90mW @ 100mA
830nm collimated laser diode module with unknown driver. These came out of the same equipment as the 405nm laser diodes in our other listings. We haven't reverse engineered the driver board, but it has a 40 MHz crystal oscillator and 130MHz capable LMH6642 opamp so I'm guessing it's modulated at 40 MHz. We powered one of the diodes with an external CW driver and found a threshold current around 26mA. These fold back without damage at around 450mA, but I'd recommend running them at 100mA where they produce about 90mW.
These come with the collimating lens set for a slightly convergent beam. You can remove the lens, take out a small spring and re-install the lens a bit closer to the diode to get a perfectly collimated beam. Great for infrared targeting or spot illumination.
