Piano Hammer Boring/Drilling Tool/Jig/Fixture - Angle & Rake, Grand & Upright

Designed and built at Ragland Piano Company in Texarkana....
Here is a hammer boring fixture with the bore angle pivot at the centerline of the hammer - practically eliminating lateral adjustments necessary with other examples when changing bore angle.  There is also onboard rake angle adjustment (from zero to 10 degrees) - no more shimming the vise to set the rake angle.  An eccentric lock secures the hammer in the jig, keeping both hands free for the drilling process (and safely away from the bit).  Four screws of different lengths are included for setting and fine tuning distance from the hammer tail to the drill bit.  Adjustable for different widths of hammer moldings.  There is a small sacrificial platform under the hammer where the bit will penetrate when drilling grand hammers (bit does not penetrate on uprights... or shouldn't).  We include 5 with the jig and more will be available in our eBay store (or you can certainly make them yourself, very simple.... and MUCH better than having to use wood filler on the old style jig to fill the holes).
